Will a hard plastic cover melt on a computer? (not case)?

I have a Mac Book Pro, it gets kind of hot, will a plastic cover melt on it. Is there any other of cover, maybe gel? (Not case)Will a hard plastic cover melt on a computer? (not case)?

No it won't melt. It will get hot but it won't melt. If it did you might have a lawsuite case you can get one of those Million dollar setttlements on. It wouldn't be safe in your lap. If it is uncomfortably hot in your lap you might take a look at getting a laptop base. They generally come with several fans on the bottom to blow extra air up to the laptop.
