I don't get along with my neighbors and sometimes my alarm goes off (day or night). I rapidly go outside and check my car to see what happened and I usually find small rocks on the ground. I have never seen them thrown something at my car, but I'm positive it is them.

It is possible to buy a type of car cover that is called a hail blanket.
They are fairly dear, but they are very thick and will protect a car from hail dents, so im sure that if someone is throwing rocks, it cant be with much more force than a hailstone.
You might also like to buy a normal car cover and try putting a old blanket on the bonnet, roof and boot. This may give the same effect.
Otherwise, consult the manual for your alarm, as it is possible to reduce the sensitivity of the alarm. Mine used to go off when a neighbours cat jumped on the hood to keep warm in the night.
I think that cameras might be a good idea too.
armor plating... nasty neighbors are the worst. Get a video camera and leave it running in a bush or a tree one night to get them on camera. then take it to the police. but if that is the route you take they might hit you harder. I believe in ';doing it yourself';. If anyopne threw rocks at my car, they might end up with a punctured tire...
It is either you live in a house whereby you can park your car in a garage or better still get a new apartment so that you can put your mind at rest of unfriendly neighbor. Good luck

Do you think health insurance will cover a breast reduction surgery in my case??? Read please!?
Okay, I have very large breast and I am wanting to get reduction surgery. I am 21 years old and I currently wear a 36L...I have really bad back pain everyday, I have severe shoulder pain and markings from my bra straps, and being that my cup size is so huge but my band size in not my boobs pull down on my bra and it has caused open flesh sores on my back....ugh!! I am too young for all this! I have tried everything! I can never find a good fitting bra, and I do not have the money to keep buying them. I currently cannot afford the surgery...do you think health insurance will cover the procedure?? Btw...I do not have health insurance yet b/c I cannot afford it but if they will cover it I will try to find extra work to pay for it....I am literally in pain every single day....any suggestions?Do you think health insurance will cover a breast reduction surgery in my case??? If you have seen a doctor about your back problem, you could run into a problem buying insurance, as they could declare this a ';pre-existing'; condition and refuse coverage for it. If you have not seen a doctor about it, DON'T. Wait until you have the insurance before seeing a doctor or you may not be able to have it covered. If you can get the insurance through open enrollment at work, where they don't ask any medical questions, you might be okay.
If you have not discussed this with a doctor, here's what you do. Buy the insurance, wait for a while, month or so, see a doctor regarding the problem, have him recommend that you have a consult with a plastic surgeon, usually free, and then contact insurance company to see if they will cover it with referral from your medical doctor to cure your back problem. If all of that goes well, they will almost always cover this surgery or at least 80% of it, depends on your policy coverage.

I agree with Eros... I also had a friend who had the same issue (less symptoms) and her surgery was covered by insurance. The doctor will pretty much have to tell the insurance company that the cost to not do it will be more then if it was done.. Sounds like a no-brainer in your case.

Most new car warranties cover bumper-to-bumper for 3-5 yrs (depending on make) with exceptions for things like trim, upholstery, etc., which are usually less, maybe one year for example. Let's say my seatbelt retractor mechanism doesn't work properly (defect?). Because I didn't notice (or wasn't careful, or in a hurry, or whatever) I exited the vehicle and closed the door, but the seat belt latch was dangling because of this problem (it wouldn't be dangling if it worked properly). As a result, the trim on the door or seat was scratched, gouged, torn, etc. The seat belt is under warranty; the trim/upholstery is now out of waranty (car is 2 yrs old, let's say). Generally, SHOULD THIS TRIM/UPHOLSTERY BE REPAIRED/REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY AT NO CHARGE? I know some might say, ';it depends.'; What make is the car? How good a customer are you? i read your description twice.. and the only remedy you have is colossion insurance.. i know the retractor was bad but you cant prove that .. i would just turn it in to the insurance under colission.. damage.. and you dont know how it got there.. i did a simular thing. i carry a pocket watch i have it on my belt and pocket.. and going to a destination i kept hearing this metallic noise.. later on that day i looked for my watch and it was gone.. somehow the cable that i hook to it came off my pants belt loop and fell on the floor and was draged for 5 miles ruining my watch.. i just bought another.

in pixels this would be: 342 w. x 339 h. (I converted it in photoshop so it might not be exact)

A much, much better idea for line art and text is to use a vector version. Again, talk with your print vendor about file format preferences.
If you are looking to print something yourself on an inkjet printer, you will have to dig into its settings or manual to find what its esolution capabilties are. The 300-600 still ought to work as a rough guideline, but you'll have to run some test pages and see what looks good in real life.

My uncle works at the boarding school where the outbreak's happened. It's an international school with rich kids from places like Saudi Arabia, India, China and Japan. For a few months now the school has housed 20+ cases, (students and teachers), of confirmed swine flu. The heads of departments who aren't sick, including my uncle, have decided to hush the whole thing up so they can continue receiving fees until the summer holidays. Because of this, parents have already begun flying their sick kids back home, unaware that they could be introducing swine flu into their countries. The sick people at the school are being treated by nurses who have been paid to keep the outbreak quiet.
I've left the details out for obvious reasons, but I know the name and location of the school, and some rough details of the timeline of the outbreak. The only problem is, I have no evidence, apart from my mum, great aunt, and grandmother's testimony. They heard this from my uncle first hand.
Do I have enough to tell the press? I don't mean the tabloid media, I mean the proper newspapers. I don't want to make any money, I'm just scared about what will happen if nobody finds out about this. If someone dies I don't want that on my conscience.

Most new car warranties cover bumper-to-bumper for 3-5 yrs (depending on make) with exceptions for things like trim, upholstery, etc., which are usually less, maybe one year for example. Let's say my seatbelt retractor mechanism doesn't work properly (defect?). Because I didn't notice (or wasn't careful, or in a hurry, or whatever) I exited the vehicle and closed the door, but the seat belt latch was dangling because of this problem (it wouldn't be dangling if it worked properly). As a result, the trim on the door or seat was scratched, gouged, torn, etc. The seat belt is under warranty; the trim/upholstery is now out of waranty (car is 2 yrs old, let's say). Generally, SHOULD THIS TRIM/UPHOLSTERY BE REPAIRED/REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY AT NO CHARGE? I know some might say, ';it depends.'; What make is the car? How good a customer are you? i read your description twice.. and the only remedy you have is colossion insurance.. i know the retractor was bad but you cant prove that .. i would just turn it in to the insurance under colission.. damage.. and you dont know how it got there.. i did a simular thing. i carry a pocket watch i have it on my belt and pocket.. and going to a destination i kept hearing this metallic noise.. later on that day i looked for my watch and it was gone.. somehow the cable that i hook to it came off my pants belt loop and fell on the floor and was draged for 5 miles ruining my watch.. i just bought another.

in pixels this would be: 342 w. x 339 h. (I converted it in photoshop so it might not be exact)

I know about a cover up of a serious case of swine flu in the UK. How do I tell the press?
My uncle works at the boarding school where the outbreak's happened. It's an international school with rich kids from places like Saudi Arabia, India, China and Japan. For a few months now the school has housed 20+ cases, (students and teachers), of confirmed swine flu. The heads of departments who aren't sick, including my uncle, have decided to hush the whole thing up so they can continue receiving fees until the summer holidays. Because of this, parents have already begun flying their sick kids back home, unaware that they could be introducing swine flu into their countries. The sick people at the school are being treated by nurses who have been paid to keep the outbreak quiet.
I've left the details out for obvious reasons, but I know the name and location of the school, and some rough details of the timeline of the outbreak. The only problem is, I have no evidence, apart from my mum, great aunt, and grandmother's testimony. They heard this from my uncle first hand.

I'm having a Blueberry Pearl fone, and I want to know which case would be better for my fone? I want the cover that would LEAST break my fone if I ever drop it. But I am saved and I do continue to ask for the sins I commit everyday and try to not commit the same ones day after day. I try to be tolerant of others and to treat them like I want to be treated. I thank God every morning for allowing me to have one more day to spend with my family. So I think I try to cover more than just my butt.

Making cover art for cd case?
So i am in a band and we are recording our demo CD very soon. I have some experience using photoshop so I am going to create the art for the cd. We are going to use a standard CD case but i was wondering the specific dimensions and pixels per inch to do a proper image. Also if i should use RGB mode or CMYK mode.
Also! I was thinking once the image is fully complete i could just take it to staples and get it printed a couple hundred times. ? Would that be the best way?

Later, if your album goes HUGE, then, to make runs in the tens of thousands of copies or more, it will be run on printing presses. For this application, the file with have to be, either, created in CMYK or converted to that mode.
In your case, the only real advantage to one mode or the other is that the RGB file will be smaller.
As far as dimensions, you can't go wrong designing to the final dimensions, and working with a MINIMUM of 300 ppi. You CAN work in a larger size, if you want, but remember, the very fine detail you see in the larger image may disappear when it is reduced. Also keep in mind that if you work an image at twice the final size of the finished CD cover, when you reduce the dimensions, you will double the ppi.
Where you take it doesn't really matter all that much, unless you have a way of comparing the quality of one shop's work with another. Essentially, all of the quick print service bureaus use the same kinds of equipment.
It WILL probably be cheaper to have it done at a Staples, or FedEx/Kinko's type of shop rather than printing them at home to make around 500 copies. You can't quite get two cover sets, (front and back) on a single sheet of standard copy paper. A print shop can use larger inkjet plotters to run off several covers on single sheet, and trim them off to the proper dimensions.
Remember, those who get music demos are not all that concerned about the quality of the cover. (although a professional looking design can help attract attention) It is the music inside that determines if a record company wants to sign a band. I wonder at times, which religion is correct, and if I'm Muslim and what if only Christians get to Heaven, or what if I'm Christian, and the Jews were right, and Jesus wasn't the Messiah, or if I'm Mormon, and I just refined the previous three into perfection, or maybe Hindus or Sikhs...or maybe the Egyptian Annead were the true God.....Can't I just Cover them All? The news covers major events from around the world. This case is a major internatonal event so I would expect it to be covered. Other important overseas news gets covered too such as the US presidential election, the situation in North Korea, the nuclear programme in Iran etc etc which contained no sexual abuse as far as I am aware of.
Its an interesting question. The BBC enjoy gossip type subjects, to be honest when the whole thing unfolded last year they showed the story for hours straight and I would have thought they would shy away from such an awful and weird story. I think it does say a lot about the British and British media and it doesnt say the right thing.

At least it shows that people who commit horrendous crimes like this do not get away with it - unless you are in UK of course - where so often criminals are given a tap on the wrist and told not to do it again.
I do not find it compulsive reading, I was interested to see that justice was rightly done and he got life imprisonment. Not that it will do the children much good who's life he ruined, but there is some justice in the fact he will never know freedom again.
It is human nature to follow the case through to the end when it is so inhumane.

The news covers major events from around the world. This case is a major internatonal event so I would expect it to be covered. Other important overseas news gets covered too such as the US presidential election, the situation in North Korea, the nuclear programme in Iran etc etc which contained no sexual abuse as far as I am aware of.
Its an interesting question. The BBC enjoy gossip type subjects, to be honest when the whole thing unfolded last year they showed the story for hours straight and I would have thought they would shy away from such an awful and weird story. I think it does say a lot about the British and British media and it doesnt say the right thing.
Mostly because of how cruel and heinous this crime is. It's very unusual and it's hard for people to fathom how a father could commit such cruel crimes over such a long time to his own daughter. As horrible as it is, it's still very news worthy. I'm sure you read all about it.

Today the TV news showed the back of reporters heads queueing to get into court, in fact one shot just showed some railings. There is no news until he has been sentenced. Why they bothered to even mention it before then is a mystery. Even then do we care? It is just taking the spotlight off the government cockups
IT's either a story to cover something else up that would otherwise be in the news, such as a political, banking or other such story. Although it's much more than an average rape or incest story, this guy is a monster.

You could buy a phone sock from ebay =] they don't really absorb the damage much if you drop it but, it keeps the screen clean

Am i covered in case my dog bites the neighbor's kids?
Some new neighbors have moved in next door. Their youngest boy, probably 5, is throwing his toys into my backyard, then climbing the fence to get them. I have a large dog in the backyard. He's on a 30 foot line, so he can't reach anyone unless they walk up TO him, and I have locks on the gates, as well as signs reading ';Beware of Dog'; and ';No Tresspassing';. I've taken pictures of all the precautions I have made. I have also addressed his parents of the situation, but they didn't reprimand him very sternly, and they seem tuned out. I'm worried the kid may keep hopping the fence and one day approach the dog. Worst case scenario, if the kid approaches the dog after all I have done, and is bitten....and the parents go and cut the signs off, and the locks off and say ';This guy's dog mauled my kid.';, what happens?Am i covered in case my dog bites the neighbor's kids?
Sounds to me like you've taken alot of precautions. One thing that could help would be to re-take some of the pictures with a witness there. Alot of people try to put up signs the day before court and say ';But I have all these signs up....';. Make sure you can attest to the validity of your precautions.

If you catch the boy at it, tell him to stop and that the dog WILL bite him... and make sure your pictures are dated.
Well, the kid is tresspassing. Tell the parents that if the child comes into your yard one more time you will charge them with tresspassing and that should get them to stop.
You could invest in a video camera, with a view of one of the signs if possible, and catch the kid in action.
Put something on top of the fence, some barbed wire, something to keep the kid off. Heck, make it electric for a good laugh.
Be prepared for some bitterness from the neighbors. They aren't going to like you doing something like this.
Take your dog to some obedience classes. Teach him not to bite... it's not that hard, actually, with a little determination and a LOT of chicken :)

Sounds like you have everything covered, I would make sure the dogs ALWAYS updated on its shots always though (otherwise they could claim the dog was rabid, and the only way to test for that is to decapitate the poor thing)

You should know your dog well enough and he should be trained well enough to know not to bite a child. I think you're setting yourself up for disaster. Take the dog for some much needed training and don't leave him tied up outside unattended.
This depends on where you live, if there is an spca, or any other sort of ';animal authorities'; or humane society, you should let them know about the situation, and as long as your yard is labeled and locked they way you say it is, im sure they will label your dog a ';non-threat'; and try to get ahold of the child's parents and find out why they aren't watching their child when he's in the yard alone. No parent should just ';let'; their child climb the neighbors fence, especially if this particular neighbor has a sign the clearly states ';BEWARE OF DOG';. I know I wouldn't risk my child's safety like that. However, if you are in a more secluded area with just a small pound that euthanizes animals at the slightest sign of aggression, and police that don'tt bother to investigate when a child has been bitten, your dog is at risk because these people are going to be lesslikelyy to care about whether you had signs or a locked gate, or even that he's tied up, they are just going to want to put him down cause he bit someone. PLEASE, for your dogs safety, getaholdd of the proper authorities, give them the pictures you have, and find out what WOULD happen if he bites this child, because no dog deserves to be put-down for doing his job.

A: Dogs should not be left outside unsupervised, as they can be a target for mistreatment, torment and other means of physical harm by people and children.
B: Dogs should not be tied, unless supervised, as the dog may react with the flight or fight instinct should the child approach the dog; as the tie is keeping the dog from fleeing danger, the dog will respond with biting/attacking.
I think you should be more worried about your dog's wellbeing rather than if you're covered or not. It would be completely understandable if your dog did maul this child, as you've basically set him up for this, and you'd be at fault.
Find the dog a better home.
Add: Even if your dog is not aggressive, from being tied down and left in an isolated area, your dog may develope territorial aggression and will react out of instinct if the unfamilar child approaches him. Keep a notebook listing the days and times you have spoken to the child and its parents. Talk to them daily, if necessary. Call the non-emergency Police number and ask if some officers could come out to talk to you about this problem. Get it on record that you do care and have made efforts to prevent a potential tragedy. Maybe they can talk to the parents, too?
Is there some kind of barrier you could put up on the top of your fence, that would keep the boy out? Ask the Police for advice on this as you don't want the boy to fall off your fence and get hurt, either. Would a taller fence help? A covered dog run? Would it be okay to plant rosebushes or blackbery vines or some other scratchy, prickly plant as a child deterrent around the perimeter of your yard? Please ask.
Call child protective services and see if they can come out and talk to the child's parents. Explain that you're worried and the parents don't seem to care that their child keeps entering your yard.
Call the local animal shelter/humane socoety and ask for help. I don't know what they could do but you should ask. They may have some good advice.
Do all you can to document and leave a paper trail that proves you have done your part to keep the child OUT of your yard. Even if they cut the locks, etc, you will have your photographs and notebook.

First off where I use to live by putting up beware of dog this is saying you know the dog is aggressive and you could actually be held more responsible
No trespassing signs where I live mean nothing.
If someone trespasses it's your responsibility to take them to court ( in this case the parents as they are responsible)
I've also been told by cops that you are responsible for what your dog does even if confine in it's owners property even if someone trespasses.
I would suggest talking to the parents one more time and let them know that if something goes over the fence they are to come to ask you to get it for them. If this isn't done you may have to go to the authorities
This actually happened to me. I foster a lot of dogs, and some are very sketchy of kids when they first come to my home. I have many kids that come up to the fence that are respectable, and I have told them to only pet MY dogs, if there are any other dogs there, don't stick their fingers through the fence because they could get bit. Now, there are a few other ones that will squirt water guns at my dogs, and stick their hands in the fence, or throw the balls over the fence so they can hop it and play with the dogs. I too, have beware of dog signs plus padlocked gates. I brought a form over to the house of the parents that I wrote up, stating that I will not be held responsible if one of the dogs bites their child, because they go into the yard without permission. They weren't happy about having to sign it, but it has made it easier on me, because now the kids will knock on the door if they lose something in the yard. I also explained to the parents that if they didn't agree to it, to at least sign and date the form, showing that i was at the house, made an attempt to prevent the problem.

It was ruled in one state I read about that the dog owner was at fault because the child who climbed into the yard and was bitten could not read the ';Beware of Dog'; signs. I hope your signs have pictures of vicious dogs on them or you could ask an arty friend to paint some for you.
Keep a notebook listing the days and times you have spoken to the child and its parents. Talk to them daily, if necessary. They seem clueless so keep telling them about their child climbing the fence (show dated photos of this for every time you can catch the kid in the act, if possible) and try to make the boy understand, too.
Call the non-emergency Police number and ask if some officers could come out to talk to you about this problem. Get it on record that you do care and have made efforts to prevent a potential tragedy. Maybe they can talk to the parents, too?
Is there some kind of barrier you could put up on the top of your fence, that would keep the boy out? Ask the Police for advice on this as you don't want the boy to fall off your fence and get hurt, either. Would a taller fence help? A covered dog run? Would it be okay to plant rosebushes or blackbery vines or some other scratchy, prickly plant as a child deterrent around the perimeter of your yard? Please ask.
Call child protective services and see if they can come out and talk to the child's parents. Explain that you're worried and the parents don't seem to care that their child keeps entering your yard.
Call the local animal shelter/humane socoety and ask for help. I don't know what they could do but you should ask. They may have some good advice.
Do all you can to document and leave a paper trail that proves you have done your part to keep the child OUT of your yard. Even if they cut the locks, etc, you will have your photographs and notebook.
Lastly, talk to a lawyer. Most will answer a question or two for free. Find out for certain what your legal standing in a worst case scenario would be.

First off where I use to live by putting up beware of dog this is saying you know the dog is aggressive and you could actually be held more responsible
No trespassing signs where I live mean nothing.
If someone trespasses it's your responsibility to take them to court ( in this case the parents as they are responsible)
I've also been told by cops that you are responsible for what your dog does even if confine in it's owners property even if someone trespasses.
I would suggest talking to the parents one more time and let them know that if something goes over the fence they are to come to ask you to get it for them. If this isn't done you may have to go to the authorities
This actually happened to me. I foster a lot of dogs, and some are very sketchy of kids when they first come to my home. I have many kids that come up to the fence that are respectable, and I have told them to only pet MY dogs, if there are any other dogs there, don't stick their fingers through the fence because they could get bit. Now, there are a few other ones that will squirt water guns at my dogs, and stick their hands in the fence, or throw the balls over the fence so they can hop it and play with the dogs. I too, have beware of dog signs plus padlocked gates. I brought a form over to the house of the parents that I wrote up, stating that I will not be held responsible if one of the dogs bites their child, because they go into the yard without permission. They weren't happy about having to sign it, but it has made it easier on me, because now the kids will knock on the door if they lose something in the yard. I also explained to the parents that if they didn't agree to it, to at least sign and date the form, showing that i was at the house, made an attempt to prevent the problem.

I think I would take pictures of the signs and locks. Of the kid trespassing too if possible. You might check with your homeowners insurance. At that age talking to the child would do no good. Talking to the parents should have produced more vigilance on their part. They are poor parents. It is possible they might try to sue for a dog bite. Best advice would be talking to a lawyer.
Sounds to me like you're covered. you've done all you can. just make sure you have proof just in case anything does happen.
call your local pd. you have signs posted and you have talked to the parents. they need to be responsible for their child and since they aren't maybe the local cop can encourage them to do so.
