Can anyone tell me how to cover up acne (not a severe case) without using tons of make-up??

I think that the make-up makes it worse, but I have to wear it or I feel really self-councious about it, I am going to the doctor today, to see if i can get some sort of cream, but i know its not going to work magic right away, suggestions please. thanks! Can anyone tell me how to cover up acne (not a severe case) without using tons of make-up??
I love mineral makeups. Real mineral makeups should not have talc and other organic ingredients that can possibley grow bacteria. Minerals are inorganic and won't support the growth of bacteria. Zinc oxide is anti microbial and titaninum dioxide conceals reddness better than anything. I do like pressed minerals apposed to loose powders. The pressed powder is matte and does not accentuate pores or texture. I have several mineral favorites, just look at the labels. Can anyone tell me how to cover up acne (not a severe case) without using tons of make-up??
Bare minerals is the best bet...it is a loose powder that is natural. I tried everything because I had a trouble spot that didn't go away for months. Go buy this stuff from clinique called salicylic acne wash is like $16 then cleanse with that and only that...don't listen to the ladies behind the counter this is all you need. Leave the foam on for two minutes and then rinse it completely off. Then use bare minerals powder...for your concealer and keep adding it with a brush until you are covered.......I guarantee it will clear!!! Good luck....stay away from oil based stuff...and try some vitamin E tablets to get your skin in better shape during the process. =)
i have some spots in my face from poping zits and i use noxema face cream to fade the spots (it works) and i use concealer to hide the spots (since i use the liquid one i put a little on my finger and apply a dab to each side of my cheecks, forehead and chin....then blend it all together) this way i dont have alot of makeup on my face (i dont like makeup)
Invest in some mineral makeup. It's lightweight, provides medium coverage and it won't clog your pores. I suggest Physician's Formula loose mineral powder. It's the most lightweight mineral makeup Ihave ever used and I have tried several drugstore and salon brands.
ok theres a product call bare minerals, it is a make up but takes a very very light amount to cover up alot of things, i have a friend that has a huge bright red birth mark on her face and she uses this stuff and it covers it liek it was never there...and its all natural so it helps your skin as well, who knows could be aht you needed for your acne
i have asked this same question before. the best answer i got was using a product from walmart called Bye Bye Blemish. try it, it works.
use a concealer mixed with moisterizer, only where you need it.
in the world of makeup - light highlights, dark receeds...

So get a concelear that is a shade or two darker than your foundation - and put it on the bum after you use your foundation... Make sure you blend it ok, then apply powder. It'll receed in the bump %26amp; make it less noticeable. If you use the white concelear or even one thats the same shade as your foundation - it'll just highlight it %26amp; make it bigger.
Wear a hijab. ;) Lol, just kidding. You could get one of those zit-zapping machines that pulse heat into the zit, but they are rather expensive. Otherwise, you're stuck with makeup if you really want to cover it up.
If you can find it, a tiny amount of green concealer mixed into a tiny amount of regular concealer, that matches your skin tone exactly, will cover it up. Apply sparingly with a makeup camouflage brush. The green neutralizes the red so it doesn't show through. You might look for a salon, dermatologist or makeup artist that specializes in custom blend cosmetics. The blended product isn't that expensive $20-$30 and will last for a year or two.
I'd recommend using better make-up until your doctor can prescribe something to help. There is a line sold in Shoppers Drugmart that covers really well. It's called Cover FX. Its a bit more expensive but it works. You can match it almost exactly to your skin tone so it doesnt make you look like your wearing a mask and it doesnt make you look cakey. They will usually test it out on you so you can try it before you buy.
Well, good for you for going to the doctor. The best thing is to work on your skin care routine to get rid of the acne.

But in the meantime, you've gotta live, right? You can't hide, so this is what I suggest.

After you've cleansed and toned your face. Use a NON-COMEDOGENIC oil-free moisturizer... Neutrogena makes a good one and it can be found at your local drugstore.

This sets your base.

Now - here's the part that most people flub, but this makes ALL the difference in the world........

First spot treat your acne with a concealer. If you've applied enough moisturizer, the concealer should go on smoothly... using a clean small makeup brush for application brush your concealer on lightly. Now, using the brush, do tiny light strokes to 'radiate' the concealer like the rays of the sun OUTWARD from the blemish... this makes it blend in with your foundation REALLY NICELY.... So often women just wnat to cover the spot and then it just draws more attention to the blemish. By doing this before you apply your base, it will be great.

Now ---- DO NOT APPLY YOUR BASE FOUNDATION WITH YOUR FINGERS ------ apply ONLY with a clean, damp makeup sponge. When you get to the blemish areas.....do not stroke!!! Instead, 'pat' the area with the foundation covered damp sponge (like if you were doing the sponge painting technique on a wall). And again, using the tip of the sponge, radiate outward from the blemish.

Set with loose powder, brush off excess.

Apply blusher and eye makeups as usual and then once you are done...... set your face with Evian spray water (sold at beauty stores and some drug stores) with a light mist.

You won't look cakey.

You won't look like putty.

You won't look maskish.

Your blemishes are covered up as much as possible.

You can face your day!

Good luck!!!
why don't u just wear concealer?
