also, when kobe was accused of sexual assault, espn was one of the first to cover the story.





ben's case broke out several days ago, and espn barely mentioned it yesterday.





hell, even laker player, shannon brown's story got mentioned the first day, and he isn't even that well known.





don't get me wrong, i think ben is being accused by a gold digger, but don't you think its odd? i dont want to bring race into this, but it sure looks that way.Why is espn barely covering the ben sexual assault case?

I don't know what you're talking about because it was all over ESPN when I was watching today. Vick might have gotten some more talk though. There really isn't much new to report at this point though in the Big Ben (ain't no way I'm attempting to spell that last name) case. I only really heard his comments on the case which, while interesting, didn't really add anything to the story in the long run. There was new information on the Vick case.
With Kobe didn't the lady in question go public and to the cops a few days after it happened? In this case, apparently the rape happened a year ago and she is now just complaining. Can you say Money Hungry? It's women like her that make it hard for the actual women who do get raped to get anyone to believe them.
i think espn is learning that its better to get the truth before blowing something out of proportion. duke lacrosse was destroyed by that scandal that wasnt true. kobes image was seriously damaged and his team probably missed a few titles after that distraction. this ben case looks rediculous and im a browns fan. i think he innocent and i hope fellow browns fans are mature and dont try to make this into a chant or a poster.
Its just a bunch of noise if it were to be real news she would have came out to the police months ago instead of plotting away to pry money from Big Ben through a Civil Suit.... Plus Ben would not have done such a thing as he has great integrity for a player of his stature.
Yes you do want to bring race into it because you have a gigantic inferiority complex and using race as an excuse is the only way you can compensate for that lack of self esteem. It has nothing to do with the issues.
Because the lady only put it in a Civil case. And they are not even gonna try to investigate it. Shes just some dumb lady trying to get money. But on ESPN today on Sportscenter, they showed Ben Roethlisberger having his conference about it.
Because it's a civil suit which is a lot more private than a criminal charge. When O.J. was tried on a civil suit for something related to the murder, I can't remember it exactly it wasn't televised. (And he didn't have his lawyers and he was found guilty.)
Because, the Police aren't even investigating it, and they are covering it, but when hardly anything new is happening you can't cover it.
Have you seen the press conference with Ben? He is clearly innocent so why bring more unneeded attention. Case closed. He's focused on the upcoming season, not some false allegation
Vick and Favre are far more intriguing. ESPN hates the Rooney family and seldom gives them any air time, even if it is negative publicity. NFL Network has talked about it quite a bit.
